Dr. McKenzie is a lifelong learner. She is a member of the Hudson Valley Black Nurses Association, Inc. member. She proudly serves as Co-Chair for Health Policy and Advocacy and the Co-Chair Mentoring, Coaching, and sponsorship Committee. Dr. Kayanne McKenzie is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in the Nursing profession. Dr. McKenzie is certified in Critical Care and Hospice and Palliative. She has been practicing as an FNP for~ 10 years, with previously 14 years as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCU, MICU, and SICU). She has received several awards, including the City University of New York (CUNY) Leadership Award in 2002, the Maxine Church Award, the Florence Nightingale Award, the Veterans Nursing Excellence Award (VISN nominated), Customer Service Awards, and Student Government awards. She enjoys teaching and Volunteering in her community. She is an ACLS and BLS-certified instructor. She enjoys gardening, community service, and spending time with her 5 children and husband in her spare time. Additionally, she is the Employee Whole Health Committee Chair/LEAD at the organization where she is currently employed. |
